We are looking for an experienced individual to support an elementary school age child in our licensed after school program (Southside location). Ideal candidate MUST be available 1:30/2:00-5:30 Monday to Friday.
This position could lead to fulltime summer employment.
Our team approach involves working closely with the child & their parents, BGC staff and other qualified individuals in order to best support the child and set them up for a positive experience.
The successful candidate must have:
- Direct experience working with elementary school age children in daycare/camp/recreation settings
- Previous training/experience working in a Support role for children in daycare/school setting
- Strong leadership skills, reliable, excellent communication, professionalism and is a team player
- The ability to work as a general Program Leader with other groups of children when needed
- Up to date First aid & CPR training (2 day course)
- Clear Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector check that has been done in NB and in the last 12 months
- Successful completion of BGC screening
