Human Resources Coordinator
Full‑time, Permanent – 40 Hours per Week. Non‑Unionized position.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator assists with planning, organizing, directing, and analyzing the operations of the human resources function. Key areas include:
- Policy and procedure development
- Human resource planning, labour relations, performance management, training and development, disability management
- Recruitment and selection
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce with a specialization in human resource management
- Minimum of three (3) years in a Human Resource Management role
- Experience in a unionized and/or municipal environment
- Experience developing, coordinating, designing, and delivering human resources policies, procedures and programs
- Experience providing strategic human resources advice and problem solving and conflict resolution
- Any combination of education and/or experience may be considered
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and support and coach staff in HR areas
- Strong analytical skills, discretion and confidentiality
