About the Organization:Dark Horse Espresso Bar is a pioneer in the Toronto specialty coffee community and has become a hotspot for those who appreciate great coffee, handmade pastries, and a comfortable environment. Dark Horse is a place where guests can relax, reflect, socialize, and re-energize with seriously great coffee. Over the past 15 years, we have evolved from one beloved neighborhood cafe into a collection of six shops in vibrant communities across the city.

About the position:Our shop is an extension of our bakery a space that showcases our craft through house-made pastries and thoughtfully prepared coffee. We are looking for FOH - Team Member who is caring, outgoing, and naturally friendly who enjoys connecting with people and creating a welcoming experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Open and close the shop
• Educate clients about our products
• Provide warm and attentive customer service
• Prepare coffee according to established systems
• Restock inventory as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shop environment

Requirements:Our shop is part of our bakery and showcases our craft through house-made pastries and thoughtfully prepared coffee. We're looking for someone who is:

• Caring, outgoing, and naturally friendly
• A clear and open communicator
• Fluent in English and well-articulated
• Organized, detail-oriented, with a sense of aesthetic
• Calm and friendly during busy periods
• Computer literate; familiarity with POS systems is an asset
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & Availability:

• Part-time: 14–20 hours per week
• 2–3 days per week, weekends required
• Shifts between 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m
• Store hours: Weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m; Weekends 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Up to $18.50/hour (based on experience) + tips
