Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant management. Prior experience with food handling, POS systems such as Micros POS, and kitchen operations is essential. Experience in hotel or barista settings is a plus. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service standards while fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to maintain quality standards
- Manage POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and order processing
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviews for hiring new staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to optimize food production and service times
- Monitor customer service quality; address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist in restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Support hospitality initiatives to enhance guest experiences in hotel or restaurant settings
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong team management skills with leadership experience in hospitality environments
- Previous roles involving interviewing, training staff, and managing restaurant operations
- Experience working in hotel or barista environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food industry standards, customer service excellence, and kitchen operations is required
