Financial Reporting Accountant - Regina, SK
AGT Foods is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Regina Head Office team.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or a current student graduating in April, and we are happy to offer a flexible start date to accommodate academic schedules.
The Financial Reporting Accountant (FRA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the information flow in and out of the consolidation software (Onestream)
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly consolidation and financial reporting processes
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements including note preparation/ review, financial statement tie outs and rolls, etc
- Assist the financial reporting team with various monthly and quarterly tasks including variance analysis templates, subsidiary consolidation schedule tie outs, etc.
- Assist with internal control testing
- Provide backup coverage to various accounting team members creating excellent learning opportunities and breadth
- Other accounting and finance duties as necessary
Skills and Abilities
- University graduate, intending to enroll in CPA program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel & Outlook
- Attention to planning, process, and detail
- Quick learner
- Desire for continued improvement and understanding
- Able to communicate effectively with different internal groups around the world
