<p><b>1.0 EFT (40 hours per week)</b></p>
<p><b>HOURS OF WORK:</b> Primarily days with availability to work one evening a week (Includes on call rotation)</p>
<p><b>LOCATION:</b> Klinic Community Health</p>

<p>Klinic Community Heath, located at 167 Sherbrook Street Winnpeg, MB, is a pro‑choice community health centre that provides primary care, education and counseling services to our local community and throughout Manitoba. <h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree</li>
<li>Three years family practice experience preferred</li>
<li>Interest and experience in community‑based medicine</li>
<li>Agonist Therapy (OAT) prescribing capacity required or must be willing to obtain an OAT license at the earliest opportunity.</li>
<li>Currently registered or eligible to be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, CCFP, or able to be registered</li>
<li>Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (additional language skills would be an asset)</li>
<li>Pro‑choice</li>
<li>Able to communicate appropriately cross‑culturally</li>
<li>Job duties must be completed in English</li>
</ul>
<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<p><b>Primary Care</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide primary health care in a community setting,</li>
<li>May provide specialized services in refugee health, Gender‑Affirming Care, MWMS, latent TB, Hepatitis C, HIV and OAT</li>
<li>Opportunity to provide hospital inpatient care in partnership with physician colleagues, depending on skills and interest.</li>
<li>Opportunity to participate in antenatal /- intrapartum care depending on skills and interest</li>
<li>May provide home visits in the geographic community with Community Health Nurse</li>
<li>Collaborate with Primary Health Care Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and all Klinic staff</li>
<li>Participate in case conferences;</li>
<li>Provide in‑service education as requested;</li>
<li>Documents accurate and pertinent client information in a timely manner, including maintenance of medical bands</li>
<li>Knowledge of emergency procedures;</li>
<li>Communicates effectively with all health team members to ensure client health needs are met</li>
<li>Participates in after‑hours and weekend on call services as part of Klinic’s Physician call schedule</li>
<li>Designed weekend call may be part of clinical responsibilities;</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Program/Agency</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Participate in the supervision and evaluation of students in the Health Services</li>
<li>Establish, review and update clinical protocols</li>
<li>Attend staff meetings;</li>
<li>Assist in the development of health information resources;</li>
<li>Assist in program development;</li>
<li>Record daily statistics as required;</li>
<li>Assist with orientation, training and supervision of new staff and students;</li>
<li>Participate in training courses and in services offered elsewhere and by Klinic in order to maintain and improve quality of service;</li>
<li>May be required to perform other duties and functions related to this job description but not exceeding above stated skills and capabilities</li>
</ul>
<h3>Physical Demands/Working Conditions</h3>
<ul>
<li>Work environment consisting of an office building</li>
<li>May be required to move items weighing up to 12 kg</li>
<li>May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients and visitors</li>
<li>May be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends</li>
