Overview

Facilities Manager (Full-time, Permanent)

Location: Paradise, NL. Reports to the Director of Infrastructure and Engineering. This position is responsible for the operational leadership of Town facilities, including building and grounds maintenance, budgeting, procurement and contract management, health and safety, security and space management. The successful incumbent will provide leadership, supervision, and performance management to a multi-disciplinary team of employees and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of Town facilities, including building and grounds maintenance, safety, and space planning.
• Develop, monitor, and assist in preparing the facility budget; manage procurement and contract administration; prepare tender documents; project manage contractor work.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and performance management to a multi-disciplinary team of employees and contractors.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and practices.
• Investigate and resolve facility-related issues to maintain service quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent;
• A minimum of five (5) years of increasing professional experience in facilities management is preferred;
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience is required;
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License;
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to meet deadlines and think strategically;
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to create and maintain relationships;
• Strong problem solving, organization and negotiation ability;
• Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office;
• Experience in working in a unionized and municipal environment would be an asset.

Salary and Terms

• Salary: $96,358.08 to $120,502.22 per year
• Annual salary range noted in posting
• Location: Paradise, NL
• Work location: On site
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
