Position Summary
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large institutional construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Participate in tender closings and bid submissions
Conduct risk analysis and value engineering exercises
Prepare budgets during pre-construction phases
Collaborate with Project Managers during handover
5+ years of experience estimating institutional construction projects
Experience pricing projects in the $20M+ range
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and materials
Proficiency with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, OST, etc.)
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
