<h2>Job Title</h2> <p>Electrical Engineer (Data Center Energy Efficiency & Cost Optimization),  Texas</p> <h2>Company Overview</h2> <p>We are a forward-thinking engineering consultancy focused on designing and constructing the most cost-effective, energy-efficient data centers in Texas and beyond. Our team pioneers sustainable infrastructure, integrating cutting-edge technologies to optimize power use, reduce waste, and meet strict grid compliance.</p> <h2>Position Overview</h2> <p>We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer specialized in power distribution, energy efficiency, and sustainability for hyperscale data centers. The ideal candidate will contribute to lowering Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) while ensuring robust and reliable power infrastructure aligned with ERCOT grid standards.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul><li>Design electrical infrastructure (medium and low voltage power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear) optimized for energy efficiency and cost control.</li><li>Utilize advanced energy management and predictive analytics tools to forecast power demand and reduce peak loads.</li><li>Collaborate on microgrid and grid-interactive efficient building (GEB) design, ensuring compliance with ERCOT demand response and ancillary service programs.</li><li>Integrate renewable energy sources and battery storage into data center power systems to minimize carbon footprint and expense.</li><li>Produce construction documents, perform code compliance checks (NEC, ERCOT, etc.), and manage vendor and contractor coordination.</li><li>Support the licensure process if required, ideally holding or pursuing Texas PE licensure.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to lower operating costs and meet sustainability goals.</li></ul> <h2>Required Qualifications</h2> <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license or eligibility preferred.</li><li>5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, preferably in data centers or critical infrastructure.</li><li>Proven ability to design and optimize electrical systems for cost and energy efficiency.</li><li>Knowledge of ERCOT grid requirements, demand response programs, and distributed energy resources (DER).</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and energy management software platforms.</li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills.</li></ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul><li>Experience with AI-based energy forecasting tools and grid-interactive design.</li><li>Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, LEED, or similar sustainability certifications.</li><li>Understanding of TN visa requirements and the US PE licensure pathway is beneficial.</li></ul> <h2>Compensation & Benefits</h2> <ul><li>Competitive USD salary $110,000$140,000 DOE.</li><li>Relocation and visa sponsorship assistance.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. </li><li>Professional development and licensure exam support.</li></ul>
