Director of Fleet

Holland Power Services (HPS) and Gagnon Line Construction (GLC) are seeking a Director of Fleet to lead their performance, safety, and modernization of a 700‑unit fleet that powers storm response and field operations across multiple regions. Based in Fredericton, NB this senior operational leadership role is a chance to transform an essential fleet and directly influence operational readiness and community impact.

As Director of Fleet, you'll lead a team of ~50 professionals across 8 divisions and drive consistent fleet availability, compliance, and lifecycle planning. You'll shift the organization from reactive repairs to disciplined, strategic asset management, ensuring the equipment is safe, reliable, and ready when it matters most.

What You'll Do

• Lead enterprise fleet readiness, uptime, and performance
• Standardize and oversee preventative maintenance across all regions
• Ensure all inspections, certifications, and regulatory requirements are met
• Drive lifecycle‑based asset management and fleet modernization
• Lead capital planning, procurement, and vendor/OEM relationships
• Strengthen alignment and trust between fleet and field operations
• Build clear accountability, communication, and operational coordination

What You Bring

• 10–15+ years of fleet leadership in utilities, heavy construction, transportation, or similar environments
• Experience managing large, multi‑region fleets of heavy diesel and specialty equipment
• Strong background in preventative maintenance, inspections, and compliance
• Proven ability to lead capital planning and vendor/OEM partnerships
• Multi‑site leadership experience and strong credibility with field teams
• Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
