• CAD $38, $42,479.69 per year, please note - new starters commence at the base of salary range

About the position

This is a locally engaged staff position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission.

The HOM Driver provides safe, secure and reliable transport for the High Commissioner, and for other members of staff and official visitors as required and has primary responsibility for maintaining the official vehicles in clean and sound condition.

Required Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

• Must hold a valid Ontario Class G driver's license
• Must have a clean driving record and be insurable under the official fleet policy
• Experienced as a driver of high-ranking passengers is highly desirable
• Excellent knowledge of the City of Ottawa / Gatineau and surrounding areas

Performance Management

Locally engaged staff engaged in an ongoing or fixed term capacity are eligible to participate in the performance management system. Staff who are employed on 31 March, are performing at the required levels, and have worked in the role for at least 100 working days are eligible to receive a salary advancement of one increment OR a bonus of two percent if at the top of their level.
