With top clients to boast about, Synechron has a global workforce of 16,400+, and has 60 offices in 20 countries within key global markets.**Our challenge**We are seeking a skilled and experienced Databricks Administrator with a strong background in the banking sector to join our dynamic team. In this role, candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Databricks environment to support banking-related data analytics and AI initiatives.Additional Information\*The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $115k – CAD $125k/year & benefits (see below).**The Role****Responsibilities:*** Deploy, configure, and maintain Databricks clusters, workspaces, and environments.* Manage user access, security, and permissions in Databricks.* Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure optimal performance of Databricks workloads.* Monitor and troubleshoot cluster and job performance issues.* Implement best practices for cluster tuning, data security, and compliance within a banking environment.* Automate deployment and configuration tasks using scripting and APIs.* Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Databricks platform and relevant banking compliance requirements.**Requirements:*** Proven experience as a Databricks Administrator or similar role.* Strong understanding of data platforms, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).* Extensive experience with Spark, SQL, and Python.* Banking industry experience with knowledge of financial data, compliance, and security standards.* Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and regulatory requirements in banking.* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.**Preferred, but not required:*** Certifications in Databricks, Cloud platforms, or relevant banking standards.* Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and analytics tools in banking.**We offer:*** A multinational organization with 60 offices in 20 countries and the possibility to work abroad.* 15 days (3 weeks) of paid annual leave plus an additional 10 days of personal leave(floating days and sick days).* A comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability.* Flexible hybrid policy.* RRSP with employer’s contribution up to 4%.* A higher education certification policy.* On-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated courses.* Coaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groups.* Cutting edge projects at the world’s leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firms.* A truly diverse, fun-loving and global work culture.***S******YNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT***Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
