Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces and working on concrete pool renovations, to meet project specifications, ensuring high-quality results. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as experience with various construction tools and methods. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades to complete projects efficiently and safely, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics, ensuring structural integrity.
- Work on pool renovations and have general pool construction experience.
- Perform pool construction as needed for renovation or restoration projects.
- Apply caulking, welding, and other techniques to enhance the durability and appearance of concrete surfaces.
- Assist with concrete pouring, leveling, troweling, and curing processes.
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures, including concrete repair and resurfacing.
- Maintain safety standards on-site by following protocols for heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, and use of hand tools.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction trades such as masonry or restoration.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and power tools.
- General pool constructionknowledge.
- Skills in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, welding, and flooring installation are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision finishing techniques.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for manual labor including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials.
