CLASS 1 DRIVER
Overland West Freight Lines Ltd. is your key to reach your full potential. We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Class 1 Driver to join our team!
Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Class 1 Driver provides daily pick-up and delivery service to/from our Grande Prairie facility. This role requires physical labour, including using a manual pallet jack. Must be able to operate forklift for load/unload at the terminal.
Shift
Monday to Friday; 07:00 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities
- Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports per company requirements
- Communicates with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning
- Communicates with clients on site to ensure delivery services meets or exceeds expectations
- Delivers loads daily in an efficient and safe manner
- Reports road incidents to the Dispatcher
- Operates forklift to load/unload as needed
- Maintains a positive attitude with customers/clients
Qualifications
- Experience operating and maintaining a commercial vehicle to DOT safety regulations
- Current Class 1 Driver’s license with clean COMMERCIAL driver’s abstract
- Experience operating a forklift
- Basic geographical knowledge of Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas
- Experience driving a manual transmission required
- Ability to lift freight up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday
- May be asked to drive 5 ton truck when needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring wage $30.00 per hour.
- Comprehensive benefits package available including pension matching program upon successful completion of probationary period.
