POSITION - CIVIL ENGINEER PEng - Land Development

Role description:
In response to strategic growth, we are currently seeking a Civil Engineer PEng. with a focus on land development projects for our Arcadis Edmonton office
This is a dynamic role working within a cohesive team environment. Our Design and Engineering Team typically works on some of the world's most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to gain hands‑on experience in water resources, land development, and municipal engineering. In this position, you will lead project teams by assisting with design tasks, preparing technical reports, contributing to client communications, and participating in site visits as required.

Role accountabilities:
- Responsible for the overall management of 1-2 civil projects focused on land/site development
- Responsible for the supervision, mentoring, and coaching of 1 to 5 staff members
- Development of and maintenance of client relations that are positive and effective
- Coordinate drafting and design schedules for projects
- Assign/coordinate responsibilities and duties to Engineers and Technologists
- Complete/review preliminary and detailed designs/drawings
- Project budgeting, project billing, assignment, review, and approval on all project-related expenditures, cost estimates, and employee time
- Complete/review progress claims
- Ensure that the maintenance program is active for CCC/FAC
- Complete/review proposals
- Problem-solving of design and construction issues
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7 or more years of experience in land development engineering projects, with an employment history that demonstrates project leadership
- Direct experience with the design and approval process for projects with various municipalities
- Complete knowledge base for construction methodologies for land development projects
- Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Diploma - Have the professional designation of P.Eng
- Membership in good standing with ASET or APEGA

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
