Overview
We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in carpentry and construction. The Carpenter Helper will assist experienced carpenters with various tasks on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and project efficiency.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed.
- Aid in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and siding projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other construction machinery safely and effectively.
- Perform general construction tasks including caulking, painting preparation, and assembly of building components.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC installations when required.
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement around the job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols at all times during construction activities.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry practices.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics is preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinetry is a plus.
- Previous handyman experience or woodworking background is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to detail with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to construction estimating, CNC operation, plumbing, electrical systems, and restoration work.
- Prior experience in construction painting or caulking is beneficial but not required. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to grow within the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects that enhance community spaces and structures.

Pay: $17.34-$31.76 per hour
