Job Description

Canadian Treads, an innovative leader in tire repurposing, specializes in retreading commercial truck tires through a precise, multi-step process that combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology to extend the life of the commercial truck tires. We are currently seeking Production Technicians to join our dynamic team. This hands‑on role is ideal for motivated individuals who are proficient with hand tools, comfortable using digital systems, and capable of adapting to various stages of the production process. We are presently have vacancies on the day and evening shift. DAYS - Monday to Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. EVENING SHIFT - Monday to Thursday 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. All training will take place on the day shift. Starting wage $20.00/hour.


Key Responsibilities



  • Use computerized terminals at various production stations to access customer specifications, operate process machines and input production data

  • Inspect tires for debris and damage

  • Operate hand tools and machines to complete the retreading process

  • Inspect, identify and remove damage, repair, apply tread, prep for processing, use vulcanization technology and complete quality checks of tires in process

  • Move large commercial truck tires (30–50 lbs) safely and efficiently

  • Rotate between workstations throughout the day depending on production needs

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and workplace procedures


Qualifications



  • Experience using computers or touch-screen interfaces in a work setting

  • Competence with hand tools and light mechanical tasks

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and station assignments as required

  • Physically fit to handle heavy tires regularly

  • Dependable, safety-minded, and a team player
