Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our Canada operations. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day accounting transactions, and coordinating with our finance and admin teams in Canada and the Philippines. This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, payments, receipts)
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and issue invoices; monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and petty cash
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and summaries for management
- Coordinate with external accountant/bookkeeper for tax filings and compliance requirements
- Support payroll coordination by preparing necessary reports and documents
- Ensure compliance with basic accounting standards and internal controls
- Provide administrative finance support as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work onsite and coordinate with remote teams
- Experience in startup or small business environment
- Background in admin or operations support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
