Sr Azure Security Engineer (Advanced Level)
Location: Mississauga, ON / onsite 3 days per week
Duration: 12+ month engagement (potential for extension)
Rate: 80-100/hr (incorporated)
Position Overview
We are seeking an Advanced-Level Azure Security Engineer / Architect to lead and support Azure security operations, governance, and secure environment buildout as we transition to a hybrid data center model. This role will play a critical part in building our first Azure environment from a security-first perspective.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure security architecture, governance, and operational security programs. This individual will develop and implement security controls, establish standard operating procedures, and support long-term Azure security operations.
This is a hands-on technical and strategic role focused heavily on Azure SECURITY, security governance, and operational excellence.
Core Reqs:
- Advanced-level Azure security expert
- Strong documentation and process development skills
- Experience building Azure environments from scratch
- Comfortable operating in hybrid enterprise environments
- Able to translate security architecture into operational execution
Experience:
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience
- 5+ years of Azure security architecture design experience
- Azure security incident response & forensics
- Experience implementing Azure governance frameworks
- Hands-on experience securing hybrid cloud environments
Required Certifications:
Microsoft Azure Security
- AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
- SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
- SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
- SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
Cybersecurity
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
