Responsabilités


  • Intervenir rapidement dans des dossiers impliquant des incidents de cybersécurité et des atteintes à la protection des renseignements personnels.
  • Conseiller les clients et assureurs dans le cadre de la gestion d’incidents, incluant les enjeux juridiques, réglementaires et stratégiques.
  • Analyser la couverture d’assurance applicable aux réclamations liées aux cyber-risques et formuler des avis en matière de couverture.
  • Rédiger des avis juridiques, rapports d’incident, notifications réglementaires et autres communications stratégiques.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec des experts techniques, des enquêteurs et des conseillers externes.
  • Participer à l’évaluation, l’anticipation et la mitigation des risques liés aux technologies de l’information et à la sécurité des données.
  • Travailler en équipe avec différents associés et avocats sur des dossiers complexes et souvent transfrontaliers.
  • Entretenir et développer des relations de confiance avec des clients assureurs et corporatifs.



Qualifications


  • Membre du Barreau du Québec.
  • Membre du Barreau de l’Ontario considéré comme un atout.
  • Environ 1 à 3 ans d’expérience pertinente en pratique privée ou en entreprise.
  • Expérience en cybersécurité, protection des renseignements personnels, assurance cyber ou technologies de l’information.
  • Excellentes compétences en rédaction juridiques en français et en anglais.
  • Capacité à comprendre et synthétiser des enjeux juridiques, factuels et techniques complexes.
  • Aisance à travailler dans des contextes à haut niveau d’urgence et de responsabilité.

Responsibilities


  • Provide rapid legal support in matters involving cybersecurity incidents and data breaches
  • Advise clients and insurers on incident response, including legal, regulatory, and strategic considerations
  • Analyze insurance coverage applicable to cyber-risk claims and prepare coverage opinions
  • Draft legal opinions, incident reports, regulatory notifications, and client communications
  • Work closely with technical experts, forensic teams, and external advisors
  • Assist clients in assessing, anticipating, and mitigating cybersecurity and information security risks
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on complex, often cross-border matters
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurer and corporate clients



Qualifications


  • Member of the Québec Bar.
  • Member of the Ontario Bar considered an asset.
  • Approximately 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in private practice or in-house.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, data protection, cyber insurance, or information technology.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills in both French and English.
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex legal, factual, and technical issues.
  • Comfortable working in high-urgency, high-responsibility environments.
