Our client is a well-established Atlantic Canadian law firm seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its New Brunswick litigation team. This regional group operates collaboratively across offices in Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John, and offers flexibility regarding in-office presence following initial onboarding. The firm is known for its people-focused culture, family-friendly policies, and flexible hybrid work arrangements. It is currently investing in litigation growth and has a strong pipeline of substantive work.

- Uncapped, formula-based bonus tied to hours, billings, revenue, and performance

Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files independently from intake through resolution
- Appear in court, conduct hearings, and manage procedural steps
- Handle commercial litigation matters, with some insurance defence work
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and delegate work appropriately
- Collaborate with partners and regional team members across offices
- Contribute to efficient file management and help address active litigation demand
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience (ideal range: 4-7 year call)
- Strong working knowledge of litigation procedure, rules of court, and advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to run files with minimal supervision
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers
- Commitment to litigation practice (not seeking to transition out of litigation)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must be called to the bar in New Brunswick and able to work from or attend one of the New Brunswick offices as needed
