ENWIN Utilities Ltd., is currently accepting applications for the position of:
Supervisor Warehouse
Reporting to the Director Purchasing and Supply Chain, the successful applicant will be responsible for organizing and directing the daily and emergency operations of the Hydro and Water Distribution Warehouse. It is the responsibility of the Supervisor Warehouse to staff, train, evaluate and develop team members. The Supervisor, Warehouse must ensure a safe and efficient work environment and inventory accuracy and material for availability for internal and external work crews. This position also provides field support for all returned transformers and oil filled switches ensuring that they are disposed in accordance with the Government of Canada and Ministry of Environment (Ontario), PCB Laws (HWIN-Hazardous Waste Information Network). The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: organizing, scheduling and supervising the work of Storekeepers in the daily and emergency operations; managing inventory and recommending optimal inventory levels to the Purchasing Supervisor; providing input into the annual budget, creating Key Performance Indicators and investigating variances; maintaining records and compliance reporting; reviewing and revising work instructions, training objectives and safety procedures; lead Forklift Train the Trainer ensuring that all employees of Hydro and Water Operations are fully competent; coordinating the annual tool calibrations.
The successful applicant must have the following skills and competencies:
- College diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management or relevant field of study, or an acceptable combination of equivalent educational training and/or job related experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Warehousing, logistics or supply chain.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Outlook, Excel/Word.
- Working knowledge of the Ministry of the Environment PCB Environmental System (HWIN: Hazardous Waste Information Network) and Government of Canada Environmental PCB Laws.
- Strong understanding of the Cross Border requirements of Homeland Security/Canadian Revenue Agency with emphasis on Harmonization Codes and Taxation Requirements.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification.
- Forklift Certification is required. Forklift Train the Trainer Certification is an asset.
- Experience supervising in a unionized environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and manage, mentor and motivate staff.
- Ability to work with the public, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range for Qualified Candidates: $84,321 – $93,690
As a prerequisite, it is a requirement to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Fully vaccinated means that you have received two doses of a two-dose vaccine or have received one dose of a one-dose vaccine, and at least fourteen days have elapsed since receiving the last dose.
