    JOB OVERVIEW

    We are currently seeking a Sales Associate who is professional, coachable, accountable with a strong will to win to join our Sales team in Toronto. In this role, the successful candidate will be the logistical backbone of two territory teams and will be expected to:

    • Support sales activities within each territory
    • Ensure territory team adherence to compliance and expense polices
    • Provide administrative and sales support
    • Organize territory team weekly meetings and small to mid-sized advisor meetings/seminars to positively contribute to achieving significant net sales results

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Schedule advisor appointments/events/internal meetings on Salesforce and organize required travel and accommodation needs as directed by VP, Sales
    • Prepare various sales and asset reports and materials required for the VP, Sales to utilize in advisor meetings
    • Prepare territory team weekly team meeting agenda and provide reporting required to review in weekly territory team meetings such as event ROI reporting, review of upcoming events, activity and sales reports, prospecting results, event per and post analysis, activity to target reporting.
    • Plan, arrange and facilitate small to mid-sized advisor events in each territory and ensure that all events are in compliance with CI Sales policies and guidelines
    • Partner with financial advisors to complete, submit and administer required co-op forms needed to ensure co-op events are compliant with National Instrument 81-105 and adheres to CI compliance guidelines
    • Complete expense reports accurately and in a timely manner on Concur and provide oversight to each advisor to ensure that annual advisor spend limits are not compromised
    • Effectively record and track all advisor spend, co-op spend, event spend and territory spend for each territory team and alert the territory team if any potential issues arise
    • Actively participate in the development and execution of territory business plan
    • Distribute advisor marketing materials pre- and post-advisor meeting as per VP, Sales and/or Internal wholesaler as needed and record on Salesforce
    • Partner with key departments within CI Investments to resolve advisor issues and to deliver on advisor and territory team requests
    • Support sales strategies, concepts, marketing ideas for financial advisors, in collaboration with VP, Sales and Internal Wholesaler
    • Act as a sales resource for the VP, Sales and/or Internal Wholesaler during vacation and other absences

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    • 1-2 years industry experience preferred
    • Client services or administrative experience an asset
    • University degree and/or college diploma required
    • Fluent in computer skills (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
    • Basic understanding of investment products and mutual funds
    • IFIC and/or CSC an asset
    • Working understanding of Salesforce is an asset
    • Understanding of Canada Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for email marketing campaigns
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work in a competitive, fast paced team environment
    • A high level of professionalism and attention to detail
    • Able to thoroughly anticipate and investigate problems and provide solutions as needed
    • Strong prioritization and analytical skills

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Ability to thrive in a high energy, competitive, performance and metric oriented, team-based sales environment
    • May require attending marketing functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours
    • Limited travel may also be required
