We currently have an opening in Mississauga, Ontario for a:
Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of information on a project, obtaining pricing of changes, and assisting the Project Manager. Specific accountabilities include:
Key Accountabilities:
· Continually review contract drawings to identify discrepancies between the various disciplines.
· Arrange for distribution of updated drawings and specifications to suppliers and subcontractors.
· Coordinate shop drawings between different subcontractors and suppliers, with reference to the contract specifications and drawings.
· Review shop drawing submissions for conformance to the specifications and agreed on subcontractor scope.
· Expedite review of the shop drawing submissions.
· Prepare and maintain shop drawing submittals log.
· Assist the Project Manager to execute or procure any outstanding project purchases, materials, services, and subcontracts and assist in pricing additional work using the project budget as guidance.
· Price the work and assist in the preparation of quotations for Construction Change Notices to the Owner.
· Prepare and distribute Requests for Information (RFI) and maintain the project RFI log.
Education & Skill Requirements:
· Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or equivalent
· Minimum of 4 years of work experience on-site or general construction
· Experience managing shop drawing review is required
· Experience with budgeting and cost control is an asset
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (WORD and EXCEL)
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in problem-solving
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working Conditions:
· Site-based position
· Personal protective equipment (ie. hardhat, safety boots) is required at all times.
