We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Line-Cooks to join our family friendly Pub & Restaurant available for Days and/or Night Shifts including Weekends. Breakfast, Sautee and Grill experience is an asset.
Our menu features traditional Pub Favourites and Seasonal Features that would benefit from a candidate that enjoys creating new dishes and flavours that will appeal to our customers so a little creativity on the job is always welcome.
Responsibilities
-Responsible for daily opening and/or closing of the kitchen.
-Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies
-Conduct daily lunch and dinner line-checks including temperature checks
-Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and ensure that food is prepared meticulously and in a timely fashion
-Restock stations and clean up to ensure that the line is set for success.
-Ensure consistency of food quality, portion control and plate presentation
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
-Maintain food storage areas by rotating stock, minimizing waste and cleaning
-Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers
-Prepare cold and hot meals including menu items for banquet events.
-Must have full and complete knowledge Health and Safety policies
-Assist with receiving all food deliveries, verifying content, quantity and quality
-Provide recommendations and input on all facets of the kitchen operations that will help to improve food quality, presentation, health & safety issues, etc.

Job Requirements
-Minimum 2-3 years kitchen experience working a full-service restaurant
-Post-secondary education in culinary, hospitality related field an asset
-Food Safety Certification – Food Handlers Certification
-Excellent knowledge of food, food handling and preparation

-Full-time Hours – Flexible Hours – Day and/or Nights.
