Overview
Join our dynamic youth sports program as a Youth Soccer Coach and inspire young athletes to develop their skills, teamwork, and confidence through engaging and energetic coaching. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for sports while promoting healthy activity, discipline, and sportsmanship among children and adolescents. As a Youth Soccer Coach, you will lead practices, organize games, and create a positive environment that encourages growth both on and off the field.
Duties
- Plan and execute age-appropriate soccer practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and fun.
- Lead game-day activities, ensuring fair play, sportsmanship, and active participation for all players.
- Monitor and manage behavior during practices and games to promote a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their technical abilities and confidence.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and program coordinators to communicate progress and address concerns.
- Assist in organizing team events, tournaments, and community outreach activities related to youth sports.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper equipment use and injury prevention measures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable.
- NCCP coaching courses or higher an asset
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrating patience and excellent behavior management skills.
- Strong communication skills to motivate young athletes and collaborate effectively with team members and parents.
