**Job Description**
Join a dynamic team as a Welder, where you will work on MIG Tack welding and fitting to fabricate enclosures for electrical wiring panels destined for the oil field and data center industries. This role involves reading and interpreting welding blueprints and performing simpler, repetitive work with lighter welding and easy tacking for jigs and frames. You will work with a 50-50 split between fitting and welding, requiring familiarity with welding machine gauges and speed.
**Responsibilities**
Perform MIG Tack welding and fitting to fabricate enclosures.
Read and interpret welding blueprints accurately.
Execute lighter welding and easy tacking for jigs and frames.
Understand and manage welding machine gauges and speed.
Work collaboratively within a team environment.
**Essential Skills**
1+ years of recent sheet metal welding experience.
1.5+ years of welding, fabrication, and fitting experience.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing blueprints.
Experience in MIG welding.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in welding enclosures.
Knowledge of proper safety protocols and a safety-forward mindset.
Experience with flux core, SMAW, TIG, and structural welding is advantageous.

**Work Environment**
Work in a modern, main shop environment with shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, including a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. Transition to night shifts from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, after training. Night shifts come with a $2 premium. Personal Protective Equipment such as CSA-approved boots, welding mask, safety glasses, and gloves are required. Employees may bring their own welding hand tools.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
