Primary Responsibilities Cutting out broken sections of galvanized steel and welding in new pieces Bending/squaring cages using a hydraulic press mild customization of cages to make them last longer Keep accurate records of assets that have been repaired Plastic welding (training will be provided) Removing broken assets from service and replacing with fixed assets Knowledge of all types of metal Materials and thickness Placing orders with suppliers for new materials (Picking up orders) Self-sufficient (able to work alone and low supervision) Maintain a clean workspace Secondary Responsibilities Knowledge of all WCB requirements for customs jobs like Staircases Ramps Walkways Trailer repairs Requirements & Skills Mechanical aptitude is required This job is primarily outdoors all year round (under a large shelter) Driver’s license is required Forklift experience Aluminum welding Experience Mig welding Benefits Extended Benefits Great Deal on Chicken 2 weeks vacation Pension Plan after 1 year of service Steel Toe reimbursement Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $22.00-$32.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: Red Seal (preferred) Work Location: In person
