Job Description

Overview

This is a weekend role offering a 4 day work week. The weekend schedule is Friday – Monday (Weekend 4 × 10s). As the Weekend Packaging Procurement Buyer you will be responsible for the following activities.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing and inventory management activities for a variety of packaging Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), ensuring the right product is at the right place at the right time while considering cost targets, contracted suppliers, demand needs and logistical parameters.


• Manage key weekly operations processes including placing purchase orders, tracking freight, managing production issues, paying invoices, analyzing data and managing inventory and capacity levels.


• Collaborate and own relationships with HelloFresh distribution centers, 3PL warehouse locations, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and inventories match demand requirements, guaranteeing punctual deliveries and maintaining inventory levels that align with the production schedule. Hold suppliers accountable to on‑time delivery and excellent quality when needed.


• Resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, purchasing or quality/performance quickly and professionally.


• Lead and facilitate team meetings with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure their readiness for success each weekend.


• Manage cross‑functional continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and testing new processes and implementing positive change.


• Work with a team of internal stakeholders to continue building, growing, and improving offsite production capabilities.


• Support teammates to ensure that no boxes are missed and no ingredients are subbed due to supply chain challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.


• 1–3 years of procurement and/or sourcing experience.


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
