Position: Web and Computer Technician
NOC TEER: 22220
Wages: $ 36.00-$36.50 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Job Duties:
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the company's internal network, computer workstations, and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless integration with the company's SAP ERP system. Set up and configure local area networks and Internet connections for business operations and remote access.
· Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software to support the company website, e-commerce platform, and internal portals.
· Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software, and ERP-related applications as required.
· Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to safeguard sensitive corporate and client information.
· Perform routine network start-up, shut down, and control record maintenance to ensure continuous system availability.
· Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations for both internal network systems and web servers.
· Enhance company's website performance by integrating new features while adding robust security measures to protect against threats.
· Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to support high-volume order processing and ERP functions.
· Modify and maintain web pages, applications, and scripts to ensure accurate product information and smooth integration with the SAP system.
· Respond to requests for help and information from website visitors, clients, internal users, and designers.
Education: Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is usually required.
Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
