About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant at Petworks, you'll:
- Support veterinarians and RVTs during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Comfort, handle, and restrain patients safely and gently
- Prepare and clean exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients under the supervision of an RVT or veterinarian
- Assist with diagnostic testing, sample collection, and basic lab work
- Communicate with and support clients, ensuring a positive experience for pets and their people
- Maintain accurate medical records and keep supplies organized
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant (preferred)
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and basic clinical procedures
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and passion for patient care
- Laboratory or front desk experience considered an asset
