Role Description
This is a volunteer role in Calgary, AB, for a Venture Scout. The Venture Scout will identify promising early-stage startups and entrepreneurs, assess new ventures, and connect with the startup community. Responsibilities include sourcing potential investment opportunities, attending networking events, and representing Aurrin Ventures at Create & Connect events. The role also involves collaboration with team members to support portfolio companies and contribute to building Aurrin Ventures' network and mission.
Qualifications
- Networking, communication, and relationship-building abilities with entrepreneurs and key stakeholders
- Experience in event coordination or participation in community-driven initiatives is beneficial
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for startups, innovation, and building an inclusive entrepreneurial community
