Introduction to Role:

Join us as a Reward Director in our Enabling business area, where you will develop and implement the Total Reward strategy for a specific SET area or SET areas. This role is pivotal in improving our organization’s ability to attract, retain and empower employees across all operating functions and levels. You will provide strategic mentorship to SET members and their LT, working closely with the HRVP to define and prioritize areas where reward can act as a lever to support their business strategy and objectives, within AZ values and risk appetite. This role has a full global remit.

Accountabilities:

As a Reward Director, you will ensure continuous improvement of AZ Total Reward approaches by providing up-to-date, in-depth knowledge and market intelligence on Reward techniques and standard methodology.

You will develop and drive a total reward strategy for a SET area or areas, collaborating with the Program team to give insights in development and implementation of reward programs that support talent attraction, retention, engagement, and performance. You will also work with the Insights Team to identify how new analytics can be used to measure the effectiveness of reward programs or to identify risks and opportunities that can be addressed by interventions in reward.



Essential Skills/Experience:

Educated to graduate level with post-graduate qualification in related area

Ability to deliver Total Reward Strategy, define, implement and lead complex reward programmes

Conceptual, analytical and critical thinking


Experience of working with and influencing a broad range of senior partners

Authoritative knowledge of policies, process and procedures relating to total reward including strong understanding of Reward management formulation and evaluation

Sophisticated financial capability, along with ability to translate sophisticated analysis into simple stories

Experience of developing individuals and optimally leading matrix teams


Strong understanding of inclusion and diversity, with experience in equity reporting and organizational application

Educated to Masters Level

Project management qualification

Experience developing digital ways of working in delivering reward processes


Experience in working with, and influencing, 3rd party vendors to deliver reward products such as benchmark surveys
