Job Description

The Children's Therapy & Family Resource Centre (CTFRC) in Kamloops, BC has a term (2 year), full-time Staff Occupational Therapist position available starting April 7, 2026.

The successful applicant will work with children with special needs, from birth to age 19, and their families. Services are provided in a family centered, community outreach model. Recent grads are encouraged and welcome to apply.

Education/Experience & Training

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC
  • A valid B.C. Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle
  • Criminal Record Check required upon hiring
  • Pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory as training and mentorship will be provided

  • Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Demonstrated leadership, clinical competence and professional judgment
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary setting and in the community
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office software

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a client caseload (consultations, assessments, intervention, discharging)
  • Compiling and completing reports, records and workload statistics accurately and on-time
  • Providing educational in-services to clients and the community
  • Participating in departmental clinical planning and programming
