What you will be doing in the role of Technician, Mechanical Assembly:Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Position, install, and secure all piping and sub-components into various pieces of equipment as per appropriate drawings Demonstrated mechanical aptitude: must be proficient in understanding basic pipe, and skid layout and assembly Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists Tube Bending, Layout and Installation Maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing, and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies Read and understand bills of material to ensure accurate assembly of product Review instructions, blueprints, drawings and technical specifications to determine the layout and installation procedures and materials required for a job Fabrication and or stock requisition/acquisition of required parts for assembly Performing instrument assemblies and installations to meet specifications Package all equipment to meet shipping requirements Testing and replacement of defective equipment or components Building and maintaining relationships with customersKnowledge and skills required for the role: Technician/Technologist College diploma in related field Three (3) years of hands-on pipe and skidded solutions assembly and integration experience Experience with Millwrighting, machining, and welding Knowledge of part layout, machining, and shop practices Knowledge of interpretation of engineering drawings and dimensioning using Vernier calipers, micrometers etc. Knowledge of safe use of slinging/rigging, overhead crane operation and forklift operation Knowledge of process automation systems an asset Strong mechanical aptitude and good trouble shooting abilities.
