Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales activities, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Bilingual proficiency and prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, and team management are highly valued. The Team Leader will play a critical role in driving store performance, training team members, and maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
  • Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS transactions
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a strong workforce
  • Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management for staff
  • Supervise cashiering activities, cash handling, and pricing accuracy
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase store visibility and sales
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards
  • Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports on sales, budgeting, and inventory levels
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with purchasing decisions and stock replenishment to optimize product availability
  • Maintain organizational standards in cleanliness, safety protocols, and store presentation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
  • Experience with recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and budgeting
  • Knowledge of merchandising strategies, pricing policies, marketing techniques, and sales management
  • Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a positive team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage time efficiently
