Join our team of trailblazersSummaryThe role of Systems Administrator at Trail Appliances supports critical infrastructure for running and securing our operations and network systems.

This role is key to providing remote and deskside hardware and software support for end users. They respond to queries and resolve issues, including incidents, service requests and change orders. They perform administration and maintenance tasks on various IT systems.Responsibilities· Monitor, review, and prioritize Helpdesk tickets and provide support to end users. Assign and escalate tickets where applicable· Manage and maintaining security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection systems· Manage all network hardware and equipment, including switches, firewall, VPN, and patch panels· Administer various on-premises IT systems including Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, SharePoint, Network Printer, MDM, O365 and network devices· Administer our growing cloud footprint (MS Azure)· Provide application support, as required:o Microsoft Office and common software applicationso ERP/CRM and home-grown line of business applications· Perform installations and modifications to laptops, desktops, printers and monitors· Support mobile devices (iOS and Android)· Provide user training on system usage and applications as required· Work with the IT Team to implement complex systems projects· Maintain current knowledge of products offered, application functionality and the high-level architecture of Trail IT Systems· Perform other duties as required to deliver exceptional service and to support Trail’s business goalsRequired Skills· Degree or Diploma in computer science or technology-related discipline with a relevant IT focus (or equivalent experience and certifications)· Minimum of 3-5 years IT end-user support experience with at least 3 year of enterprise network administration.· Experience in Palo Alto firewalls and HPE/Aruba switches configuration and troubleshooting.· Knowledge and hands-on experience of LAN and WAN technologies, VPN technology (GRE, IPSec/SSL VPNs), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), network security (NAT, RADIUS, ACLs), and wireless (802.11a/b/g/n/ac, WPA, WEP, 802.1x)· Knowledge of Windows, including but not limited to: AD, RDS, DNS, GPO, Exchange· Knowledge and experience with VCenter configuration and administration· Knowledge and application of ITIL best practices· Ability to learn and communicate technical information· A positive attitude and a true passion for technology and customer service· Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivating· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills· Ability to work independently and within a team environmentDesired Skills· Technical background with IT infrastructure, LAN/WAN networking and security· CCNA Routing and Switching certification preferred· Technical background with Windows, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, and mobile management· Microsoft MCSA is an asset· Experience administering Office 365 and Azure services· Experience supporting:o VoIP phone systemso ERPo SCCMo PowerShell scriptingInteracts With· Trail employees and management· External vendorsWork Environment· Open office environment· Some travel to branch locations mostly within Lower Mainland as required· Flexible schedule based around core hours· Up to 2 days/week work from home following probation period· On-call rotation (with stipend) for after hours, holiday and weekend supportAdditional Information· Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle required for occasional travel to locations throughout the Lower MainlandINDHPWe inspire possibilities, make shopping ridiculously easy, and help create special moments at home.
