Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this role thrives to work in a team environment and enjoys working outdoors. This position involves frequent travel and working on the road. Additionally, the role starts very early in the morning, with fieldwork beginning at 5:30 a.m. The selected person must have experience in manual work requiring physical effort. All tools and training will be supplied, all you need is your boots.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the regional operations manager in coordinating and managing service calls across the organization
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on carts, ladders, and material handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and work orders by utilizing the provided smartphone for update
  • Responsible for keeping the service truck up to date with the equipment and parts needed to complete the work
  • Transport team members from their residence to the field at the start of the day and from the field to their residence at the end of the day
  • Review the day's work with store managers
  • Execute the weekly schedule according to the climatic conditions and the performance of the maintenance team.

Required Skills

  • Working experience and knowledge of the warehouse work, including inventory management and storage practices will be considered an asset
  • Experience in maintenance, laborer, assembly, delivery, helper, or landscaping role
  • Basic welding experience will be considered an asset. Additional training will be provided by the company
  • Good organizational skills to manage a large volume of repetitive work
  • Quick learning skills to adapt to new tasks and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in maintenance, laborer, assembly, delivery, helper, or landscaping roles
  • Good knowledge of warehouse work, including inventory management and storage practices

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted Class G driver's licence
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is necessary
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years (for insurance purposes)

About the Company

This position is for one of our divisions, Total Cart Management. TCM is the pioneer in the manufacture and maintenance of shopping carts and various mobile equipment in big box stores. Our general operations, based in Mississauga, handles all maintenance, repairs and service calls for corporate and independent retailers across the country
