Job Description
Summer Management Internship – Painting Operations
This is a full-time summer leadership role for someone who wants real responsibility—not a typical summer job.
You’ll be involved in running day-to-day painting operations, managing crews on-site, coordinating schedules, and solving real problems as they come up. You’ll work closely with the owner and gain hands-on experience in operations, leadership, and execution in a fast-paced environment.
This role is structured, supported, and demanding. You’ll learn quickly, take ownership early, and see how a service business actually runs.
What you’ll be doing
Overseeing daily painting jobs and job-site progress
Managing crews and keeping projects on schedule
Communicating with painters, customers, and management
Coordinating logistics such as materials and timelines
Handling on-site problem-solving and quality control
What this role is (and isn’t)
This role is hands-on, field-based, and responsibility-heavy. You’ll be trusted to make decisions and manage real outcomes.
It is not a desk-only role, not a casual or part-time job, and not an observational internship where you sit on the sidelines.
What we’re looking for
Strong organization and reliability
Comfort taking responsibility and making decisions
Ability to manage peers in a work environment
Willingness to learn quickly and adapt
Clear communication and problem-solving skills
Prior experience in construction, trades, team leadership, or operations is helpful but not required.
Commitment
This is a full-time, fixed-term summer role. Workweeks vary based on job schedules and project needs. Training and ongoing support are provided.
Why this role is different
Most summer roles limit responsibility. This one increases it. You’ll finish the summer with real leadership experience and a clear understanding of how a service business operates—not just a line on a resume.
