We pride ourselves on quality, locally fabricating and installing custom countertops for residential and commercial projects alike.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing production as dictated by the production schedule. Shop Foreman works closely with Production Manager to maintain production schedules and output targets, and achieve set goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise all shop staff to insure productivity and safety requirements are met
- Delegate work assignments within fabrication departments to specific staff members
- Act as main contact for all fabrication shop staff
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of fabrication processes and workflow
- Actively participate in, and coordinate normal daily operations in the fabrication shop (machine operation primarily)
- Assist Production Manager in performance management of the shop staff
- Request specific materials for the CNC machines and bridge saw from inventory
- Perform and schedule critical machine maintenance in conjunction with machine maintenance staff
- Assist Joint Occupational Safety Program Committee with performing safety inspection
- Insure all work areas are kept clean and organized in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Program
- Contribute to team effort and complete other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in construction and/or countertop production industry an asset
- Experience in installations an asset
- Supervisory skills
- Good organizational and effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organize and improve processes
- Proficient with PC
- Positive and encouraging personality

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

- carpentry: 3 years (required)
- supervisory: 2 years (preferred)
