On behalf of our client in the Government Sector, Equality Street is looking for a Sr.Business Analyst – Siebel to support the Clients team.
This is a contract role, with possible extension. Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid, on-site will be required for 3 days in a week)
Responsibilities – the role will include, but not limited to the following:

Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined

Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through analyzing business needs and requirements.

Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies

Develops strategies, prepares business cases and cost-benefit analysis, and conducts feasibility studies for business I&IT initiatives

Demonstrable knowledge of Public Sector applications, databases and systems; demonstrated experience working with legacy infrastructure hosting environments such as mainframe with complex applications; Experience with supporting legacy applications and transformation of legacy solutions using COTS products such as Oracle Siebel.

Develops sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, etc.

Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned project

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization.

Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including user stories, functional specifications, and test cases, with a focus on data validation and cleansing.

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
Requirements

5+ years of experience as a BA/BSA
-
Experience creating systems diagrams
-
Experience developing process maps, stakeholder maps and assessments
-
Experience developing strategies, preparing business cases and cost-benefit analysis
-
Hands-on experience developing effective use cases, user stories and conducting options analysis

Experience Enterprise business architectural concepts in order to ensure that recommended technologies are consistent with OPS standards.

Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to document conceptual requirements and scope

Demonstrated experience with implementation of business solutions using Custom off the Shelf solution implementations such as Oracle Siebel based systems and photo comparison technologies

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

Experience in the use of information retrieval packages

Experience with a wide range of methods, tools and techniques for business analysis such as: business functional modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping

Experience in structured, object oriented and agile methodologies for user requirements

Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
