About the Job
On behalf of one of our member companies, the CME is leading this search for a Shipper/Receiver. The company is located in the Burnaby Lake area of Burnaby, with easy access to the Skytrain line, other transit options, and easy highway access via the Sprott exit of HWY 1. Team member parking is also available on-site.
Responsibilities include
- Load and unload trucks.
- Wrap skids of completed parts including accurate counts.
- Deal with different shipping types, assemblies, individual parts etc.
- Manage inventory by updating the internal ERP system.
- Work with the Production Supervisor to prioritize shipments.
- Accurately complete required paperwork.
- Other duties related to the business as required.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience.
- Work with urgency and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to lift and handle up to a 50‑lb. load at a time.
- Hand jack and pallet truck experience required.
- Forklift experience required, forklift ticket preferred.
The company offers regular wage reviews, annual boot allowance, comprehensive benefits, bonus program and 3 weeks paid vacation annually (on an accrual basis).
The regular schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, 0600-1400 Pacific.
