Job Description

Drives full-cycle talent acquisition process, leading employment marketing initiatives, branding campaigns, sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and providing hiring recommendations; additionally, handles sourcing and outreach efforts to build talent pipelines to meet current and future hiring needs.
Engages in both proven and new and innovative talent sourcing methods to source top caliber candidates and develop a pipeline of talent, including networking, job boards, social media, digital media, career fairs, agencies, leveraging technology and campus recruitment.
Develops and sustains strong, collaborative partnerships with stakeholder groups industry – wide to proactively identify, resolve, and coordinate efforts in relation to strategic talent management programs and initiatives.
Conducts ongoing measurement and assessment of the talent acquisition process and related performance measures; uses key metrics to drive continuous improvements regarding recruitment decisions and the quality of hires.
Builds effective relationships with operations and leaders across Yee Hong to ensure understanding and alignment with business objectives.
Ensures all mandatory employment clearances are in place as required legislation and internal policies for compliance.
Maintains proactive communication with candidates, hiring managers, and Talent Acquisition team members during the talent acquisition cycle, striving to provide everyone involved with a highly positive experience.
Develops and manages talent acquisition budgets, policies, and procedures.
Handles responsibility for ensuring all recruiting activities and employment requirements are consistent with the policies and standards of the Ministry of Long-term Care, Ministry of Community & Social Services and any other applicable legislation and collective bargaining agreements
Oversees, develops, and implements process improvement strategies, systems, and technology to maximize the efficiency and value delivered by the Talent Acquisition team; leverages technology to ensure lean processes.
Creates, analyzes, and leverages key metrics as a driver of performance optimization for the team, identifying trends and key objectives for achieving the talent acquisition strategies
Works collaboratively with other Human Resource subject matter experts including HR Business Partner, Total Rewards, Health and Safety, and Learning and Development to develop strategies and processes.
Gathers and analyzes financial and recruitment data to identify gaps and areas for improvement; utilizes information to develop new processes and make changes to better align Talent Acquisition with business needs.
Analyzes trends and external market conditions and develops an understanding of business needs to develop effective and proactive recruiting strategies.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Provides advice, influence, and education on best practices in talent acquisition and onboarding.
External Partners/Vendors: Networks and explores opportunities for new partnerships.
Negotiates initial fees for contracted services and works closely to ensure completion and satisfactory performance.
Colleges/Universities: Networks and explores opportunities for new partnerships.
Candidates: Provides information on YH as an employer of choice; shares information on career opportunities within the organization.



Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline; a CHRL is an assest
5-7 years of experience in business growth, or services related to Talent Acquisition, with at least 4 years spent managing a team
Previous experience working in healthcare and/or working with a unionized environment an asset
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance big-picture planning with hands-on execution
Experience driving ambitious growth metrics in an operational environment
Proven success demanding markets; high demand for health care positions, RN’s, RPN’s, PSW’s in low supply market
Strong quantitative background, with a demonstrated ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and growth
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various internal teams
Ability to travel within the GTA as required
