JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto OR Montreal)

Duration: 6 months


Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Senior Project Manager to collaborate and facilitate decision making with stakeholders (Trading and IT groups). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

  • Typical Day in role:Use Agile practices to lead team and drive progress
  • Collaborate with developers to build solutions for the Front Office
  • Effective monitoring and escalation to the overall team
  • Develop and track project milestones and timelines
  • Create and own Working Groups with the different business stakeholders
  • Develop the Working Group’s milestones and timelines
  • Must-Have Skills:Experience with Scrum
  • Relevant industry knowledge – background of working in Capital Markets Trade Processing projects
  • Able to effectively chair Working Group discussion and manage priority items
  • Able to develop and maintain consolidated work plan with intra and inter-stream dependencies
  • Able to develop and maintain risks and issues log
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Financial Product knowledge and business analysis experience
  • Experience with MS Office suite
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work effectively within global teams with traders, middle office, and IT
  • Nice-To-Have Skills:Previous experience with JIRA
  • Agile project methodology
