Your Impact



  • Deliver process designs that enhance efficiency and sustainability across mining operations

  • Lead the development of laboratory testing protocols to improve backfill and material handling practices

  • Apply advanced calculations and field data to inform project decisions and optimize performance

  • Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation that meet complex project needs

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence

  • Support audits, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for mining infrastructure

  • Collaborate on proposals and reports that shape the future of resource development


The Skills That Set You Apart



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering

  • 15+ years of consulting or operational experience in mining or milling environments

  • Proven expertise in backfill plant design (hydraulic fill, paste fill, cemented rockfill), tailings disposal systems, and comminution processes

  • Experience developing underground distribution systems and slurry transport models

  • Skilled in establishing lab protocols for thickening, filtration, rheology, and UCS testing

  • Professional Engineer designation and valid driver's license

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools and committed to safety-first execution

  • Passionate about making a meaningful impact through engineering excellence

Compensation


BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $122,100 - $162,200


Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
