  • Resolve complex issues that arise during fabrication and construction, including field support and corrective design actions.

  • Lead project value-add initiatives (cost, constructability, schedule, performance improvements).

  • Mentor and coach engineers and designers; support capability development and technical consistency.

  • Participate actively in relevant industry forums, committees, and standards activities.

  • Lead initiatives to improve department quality and KPIs (e.g., design cycle time, NCRs, rework reduction, safety/constructability outcomes).

  • Identify opportunities to improve project solutions and drive design improvements across methods, standards, and product applications.

  • Perform Geostructural Designer/Engineer duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with strong knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering

  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead design on high-risk projects and provide final technical direction within assigned scope

  • Lead/own standard analysis and design methods for a major geostructural product line

  • Lead industry/standards participation and represent AIL in technical forums
