As a Senior Digital Analytics Consultant, you will use data analysis tools to help tell complete stories and be an advocate for the source of truth within Sun Life. You will work closely with Product Owners of our Public Websites, Secure Websites, Mobile App and development teams to promote the growth and continuous improvement of Sun Life’s digital channels through in-depth analytics. Sun Life is always looking for ways to improve the client experience through our digital channels.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the end to end implementation of the digital analytics lifecycle – data collection/aggregation, digital product analytics, analysis presentations and report/dashboard building. You will provide objective, value-added insights and analysis to enable product owners to make strategic data-driven decisions.
The person in this role will build critical understanding of Sun Life’s digital products and the associated client behaviours to help deliver business value.
What will you do?
Digital Product and Performance Analytics:
Based on evidence, make recommendations to leadership and stakeholders to support changes to all of Sun Life’s digital channels (Public Website, Secure Website, Mobile Application) Proactively develop insightful analytics to inform product roadmap Understand current web traffic flows, conversion funnels and listening posts results to further inform the product roadmap Support ad-hoc digital analytics requests Journey/Funnel analysis Analyze the performance of paid media campaigns, and make recommendations to optimize against defined goals Digital Data Collection:
Consolidate many data sources to develop Measurement Plans for digital products and features based on Objectives & Key Results. Data sources include Adobe Analytics, internal sales and activity data, Search Console data, Paid Media data, etc. Support the collection and integration of data across various sources and systems. Write and manage measurement plan, user stories and acceptance criteria pertaining to data collection implementations. Ensure we are capturing key interactions in our digital platforms, ensuring the information is available for business consumption Using Python / SQL build automated data products that support digital team by combining data from both on-line and off-line to support digital Analytical requests Digital Product Reporting and Presentations:
Deliver clear, concise and timely reports and presentations identifying trends, issues and opportunities Develop dashboards in Tableau, leveraging data from Adobe Analytics and other sources Leverage Adobe Analytics workspace to develop web specific digital dashboards Evolve Analytics Best Practices:
Consult with digital team leaders to identify new tools, opportunities and ways of working to increase business results Provide technical support and training to internal teams around analytics tagging, data validation and data integration What do you need to succeed?
5+ years’ experience in digital marketing analytics or a related discipline 4 years of extensive experience with digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (Preferred), Google Analytics or IBM Digital Analytics (CoreMetrics), including ability to merge its output with other data sources leveraging tools like Tableau, Power BI or Data Studio 4 year of experience working with SQL, Python querying data, ETL jobs Experience using Tableau and ability to visualize and tell stories with data Cloud experience working with AWS Analytical tools (Glue, Athena, Sagemaker) Proven analytics and problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment, supporting multiple Agile teams and other stakeholders Strong drive and desire to understand relationship of organizational components Knowledge of advanced digital analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research Strong team player with track record of collaboration and experience working as part of an agile team What will be nice to have?
BA/BSc or above in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science in a related quantitative field or equivalent work experience Comfortable learning new technologies and tools and be willing to learn and adapt quickly to new technology. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills Highly detail oriented and comfortable with large amounts of data Continuous learning mind-set in order to test-and-learn Effective relationship builder with skills to influence What is in it for you?
