Reference Code:047282 Job Title: Senior Buyer Position: Permanent full-time Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Location: Brampton, ON Salary: $65-80K Responsibilities: •Monitor and collect market intelligence on products, prices, suppliers, trends, etc. •Conduct analyses comparing the costs and benefits of capital payback lease-versus-buy and make-versus-buy decisions. •Engage in negotiations with suppliers of Tooling, Capital Equipment, and Checking Fixtures to reduce costs and improve quality. •Continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of our products for both Direct Buy and MRO purchases in terms of price, quality, and technology. •Represent the Purchasing department in Cross-Functional Teams such as new product launches and Advanced Quality Planning and facilitate the APQP process by issuing pre-production releases to suppliers. •Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures aimed at improving business process flow and maximizing the capabilities of the MRP system.
