SaaS | Recreation & Non-Profit Sector | North America Focus
Base: $70,000 – $90,000 | OTE $150,000+
I am currently partnering with a growing Canadian SaaS organization that has built a highly specialized member management and operations platform serving recreation and community-based organizations across North America.
They are seeking a
Senior Business Development Manager
to drive strategic growth and lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
The Opportunity
This is a true
hunter role with an acumen for account management
.
While there is an existing client base and inbound activity (RFPs, renewals, referrals), the organization needs a disciplined, consultative seller who can:
- Proactively develop new opportunities within a tight-knit community sector
- Rebuild and strengthen long-term relationships
- Navigate varied organizational structures (small community orgs to large multi-location enterprises)
- Lead structured, thoughtful sales cycles rather than transactional selling
This role is about credibility, follow-through, and long-term value creation.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Driving new business acquisition across North America within the recreation and non-profit sector
- Managing renewals and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Leading complex RFP responses and multi-department stakeholder processes (Operations, Finance, IT, Executive leadership)
- Conducting consultative discovery conversations and tailored product demonstrations
- Building and maintaining a disciplined, well-managed pipeline
- Positioning software value through business acumen and ROI-driven conversations
What We're Looking For
- Mandatory:
Proven experience selling SaaS solutions (solution-based, consultative selling approach) - Experience managing longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Strong business acumen — comfortable engaging senior decision-makers
- A structured, disciplined follow-up style (this is critical)
- Ability to balance hunting new logos while nurturing long-term accounts
- Comfortable in a nimble, growth-oriented e- sando..canvironment
Highly preferred:
- Experience selling into non-profit organizations, recreation networks, associations, or community-based institutions
Compensation
- Base Salary:
$70,000 – $90,000 - On-Target Earnings:
$150,000+ - Significant upside for a high performer
