We are looking for Security Guard (Floaters) to support our business growth in Toronto. This a part-time permanent position.

Available Shifts:

Wednesday and Thursday (11pm to 8am)

Monday to Friday (3pm to 11pm)

How you will contribute:

• Effective communication and conflict resolution.
• Ensuring property rules and regulations are followed and maintained.
• Provide support to Property Management and all OTT staff and visitors as required.
• Professional attitude towards any required training, handling emergencies and effective communications.
• Read, respond, and manage all security email inboxes through the provided software.
• Protect the safety of persons and property on OTT property and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass.
• Enforce parking and smoke-free property policies.
• Monitor security consoles (access control, and CCTV video monitors), Fire Panel, and Alarms. and respond to alarms.
• Verify visitor and employee identification.
• Lock and unlock doors as scheduled or required.
• Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions and maintain a log of security incidents.
• Document, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeeping.
• Provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on OTT property when required.
• Advise OTT staff immediately of any notifiable incidents and assist with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally).
• Attend every event or incident that may jeopardize the security of the Facility and provide a high level of customer service.
• Assist with the prevention management of illicit substances and or weapons; secure the location of any found items, while awaiting Toronto Police Service as instructed.
• Document all events in a notebook or electronic incident report.
• Other duties as required/requested by the company and management.

What you bring to the table:

• Must hold a valid Ontario Security License and First Aid Certificate
• Minimum one year experience as a security guard, concierge and customer service experience is preferred.

• Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency callouts as they arise.

• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
• Knowledge of computer application skills.
• Ability to work effectively and handle multiple situations simultaneously while providing quality service.
• Must be willing to complete a Background Security Check.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time between 3-4 hours at a time.

• Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies.
